The computer based exams of JEE Main was conducted in 29 cities including three cities abroad – Kathmandu, Colombo, and Singapore between 8 to 25 April, 2013.The pen and paper based JEE Main took place successfully on 7th April 2013 and was conducted across 81 cities, including Dubai, Riyadh and Muscat and Bahrain.After one month JEE Main 2013 is going to be declare on 07th May 2013.

Now IIT JEE results (Actually it is JEE Main Result) has been scheduled to be declared online on 7th may 2013 whereas the JEE board will send the score card to every student on their official address by post.

JEE Main 2013 Result Details & Information

Two Merit Lists for JEE Main 2013: There will be two separate merit list of JEE Main, one for admission into B.Tech or B.E courses & other for admission into B. Arch or  B.Planning courses. The merit list will be created on the basis of the proposed formula of board by giving 60% weight age of the performance in JEE main exams & 40% weight age to the performance in 12th board marks or marks in equivalent exams.

JEE Main 2013 Rank Card: The Rank card of JEE Main 2013 exam will be be containing the National Rank of the candidate & marks in JEE Main exam & also  the state rank & category rank of the student in JEE Main exam.

 

The rank card will be sent to all candidates will post after 12th July 2013, Candidates are advised to use a proper address for assurance of getting the Admit Card. Hoever they can reissue the duplicate admit card by paying an small amount of Rs 50/- & postal charge of 30 Rupee as a DD on the name of The Secretary of CBSE payable at New Delhi.

Joint Entrance Exams Main exams were conducted in april month by CBSE to allot admission of all the students wishing to get admission into various IITs, NITs or other Centrally funded institutes. Among 14 lac participated students, only 150,000 top rankers will be allowed to sit in the next round of exam which is called JEE Advanced.

  • The candidate with higher scores in Mathematics in JEE Main 2013 will be given preference
  •  The one with higher scores in Physics in JEEMain 2013 will be given priority
  • Candidate with higher scores in qualifying exam will be given preference
  • The one with higher absolute value of ratio of positive and negative marks  will be given preference
  • If, after all the above said rules, the merit still becomes the same, then the same rank will be allotted to both the candidates.

1500 Challenges Submitted for JEE Main 2013-Results Expected on 7th

jee officials, jee result,jee main resultA total of 1500 students have submitted their challenges for their Joint Entrance Exam- Main (JEE-Main) answer sheets this year. JEE Board had given a deadline of 2nd may to check the OMR sheets online & submit the challenges if anything found wrong.

The central board of Secondary education (CBSE) which conducts JEE exams has officially declared that they have submitted the answer sheets of JEE Main exams of this year. The student were allowed to submit challenge from 30 april 2013 to 2nd may 2013 if they find that the recorded response in JEE main is different from what they had submitted while exams.

The challenge option was available for only those students who appeared in pen & paper based exams. Out of a total of 9.2 lakh offline candidates, 1500 challenges has been reported to JEE Board, said the official.

“We are studying the challenges & will be resolving every single case one by one.”the officer added further.

While students had complained about errors and ambiguities in the questions appearing in the exam paper, the challenge process is concerned only with the answer sheets. The CBSE has not said if it will be cancelling any questions or awarding grace marks, as the IITs had done last year after the paper was confirmed to have seven marks worth of errors.

JEE Main 2013 exam was conducted on 7th april & a total of 14+ lakh students appeared in the exams. JEE Main & Advanced exams determines the admission into IITs, NITs & other centrally funded institutes of India.

JEE Main Results-Expected on this Tuesday

As per the official statement, the JEE Main 2013 result is expected to be declared this tuesday on 7th may 2013. The score card will be available for the official website. Whether qualified or not, All the candidates would get their score from the website however JEE Main Results will not be representing the rank of all students. All the top 150,00 student who qualified for JEE Advanced 2013 exams will be informed about their selection.

IIT-JEE Main Results 2013 to be declared on May 7-Important Dates

This Year, the total number of seats in 15 IIT’s & one IIT BHU & One ISM dhanbad are 9649 for B.Tech courses.while the number of seats available in 30 NIT’s for undergraduate courses are 15678 including the seats in the new ones. Hence a rank of under 25,000 in JEE advanced exams can bring a seat in a reputed college for a candidate.

Total Available Seats in IIT’s of India

Indian Institute of Technology is a leading place & dream place for all student aspiring for Undergraduate programs. Today, A total of 17 IIT’s are there for all the candidates wishing to get admission there.

You need to crack JEE exams with a required rank in order to get selected for the admission into IIT’s. CBSE has the responsibility to conduct Join Entrance examination. Depending upon the rank you secure, CBSE allots you an IIT with a course.

This year (2013), the total of 9647 seats are available in IITs of India, hence if you want to get admission in any of the IIT’s of India, you must have to secure a rank of under top 9647 students.

In 2003, a total of 9 IITs were there & total seats were 4583  but later in 2007 the number of IIT’s were same but the seats were increased because of the introduction of new courses & extension in batches & thus a total of 5537 seats were available to get admission in Indian Institute of Technology.

In 2008, IIT Patna, IIT Ropar, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Rjasthan & IIT Bhubaneshwar were established & opened as IIT & total number of seats became 6992.

In 2009, total intake was 8295 because of the opening of IIT Mandi & IIT Indore. In later years the number of seats & courses were increased keeping the number of IITs same & finally in 2012, the total intake of 9647 was recorded.
